Blackbeard was founded in 2003 by Andy McConnell, Nancy Story and Denise Wynter to serve the needs of customers wanting to download legal copies of music selections.

Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company has become a leader in the industry.  Customer satisfaction is the number one objective.  In keeping with that goal, Blackbeard has recently applied to the Better Business Bureau for membership.  (Press Release)
